Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman considers it necessity to legislate the issues of people's deputies' responsibility for incidents they involve in.
"I mean the recourse to force. I do not want to judge. I do not want to remind the names and the incidents themselves. But I believe that people's deputies despite their names, status or party affiliation must not use force both in the walls of the Parliament and outside of the Ukrainian legislature," Groysman said at the meeting of the Conciliatory Council on Monday.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada urged the Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and Support to Work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to "eye this issue — the last incident, as well as the previous ones — and define our clear position for the future." "We have to do our best to prevent from such events in the future. We have to legislate the issue. I'd like to ask for your understanding and you to take part in making decisions able to prevent from such cases in the future," Groysman said.
